In the last few weeks before Microsoft’s huge event, Ignite, I was tasked with completely reimagining the signed-out home page. Our previous home page was a sea of links with no one clear call to action, but truly there was one single most important task here and that was to sign in or sign up.

Here’s the old home page. It had 25 links (plus the side navigation) and no primary CTA.

And here’s the new version. It has 5 buttons, three with the primary CTA “sign in” and two others. There’s a carousel with five panels and three other links. You can see it live at ai.azure.com.

I will add telemetry data here when it becomes available. This was a super fun project and I was delighted to see my work in a Microsoft marketing video at Ignite!
